ENTRY LEVEL registration:

Clarification - July 16, 2010

In May, Registrants were invited to attend Information Sessions hosted by the Entry Level Committee (ELC), regarding the NSBEP proposed change in education entry level to practice to the doctorate degree.  The committee encouraged feedback and discussion on the "talking points" and background information collected to date.  A second related purpose of the meetings was to contribute to the development of a Vision Statement for practicing psychologists in Nova Scotia.

In April 2010, NSBEP published a document about informed consent as it relates to third-party work and supervision.  The Board also made available a document entitled the "Provision of Services via Electronic Means".  Both documents are available via the following link:  http://www.nsbep.org/pages/guidelines.html

In January 2010, the revised Standards were combined into an overall PDF document which contains a listing of relevant legislation, guidelines, the Code of Ethics and both sets of NSBEP Standards.

Registrants can access this document by visiting the Standards section of the NSBEP Website and viewing the document entitled “Standards of Practice”.

Also in January 2010 NSBEP made available a document concerning the various areas of psychological practice.  Click here to access this document.
