Revision to the Standards for Providers of Psychological Services

The Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology has recently revised the Standards for Providers of Psychological Services.  The revised version will become effective January 4, 2010.

The revised Standards have been combined into an overall PDF document which contains a listing of relevant legislation, guidelines, the Canadian Code of Ethics and complete versions of both sets of the NSBEP Standards (Standards for Providers of Psychological Services and Standards of Professional Conduct).

Registrants can access the revision by visiting the Standards section of the NSBEP Website and viewing the document entitled “Standards”. 

NSBEP has recently made available a document concerning the various areas of psychological practice.  Click here to access this document.

NSBEP supports the Universal Declaration of Ethical Principles for Psychologists.  Registrants are reminded that the Declaration does not replace NSBEP's Standards nor does it replace the Canadian Code of Ethics.  Click here to view the document.
